Inspired by a brutalist fire station in the south of Paris, the Caserne Massena, Pompier is a monospaced display font. Some letters feature an additional slanted glyph to evoke a sense of movement and speed when used throughout a text. To emphasize this dynamism, both the letters and the printed specimen show extended proportions, using the same ratio of 2:1 found in the main structure of the fire station.
